Here at YourTrip, we’re all about connecting people with local experiences. We love to travel and want to share the joy of travel with others. We’re not your average online travel agent or tour operator. We like to think of ourselves as a mix of both. We specialise in building that perfect holiday for all our guests. We offer some amazing small group tours to various destinations and also building the perfect private tour or holiday planning for our guests.

We build private tours that can depart any day of the year and also have selected travel dates where you can travel with a small group. All our tours are all about you! We do this by connecting you with amazing experiences, run by locals. We specialise in several destinations already and aren’t afraid build your holiday to any destination for you, even if we don’t currently advertise it.


YourTrip Inclusions

We always include a great mix of included activities and time for you to explore on your own. We provide suggestions of what you can do in each destination before you travel and our local guides will be able to give you plenty of suggestions. We also like to get to know you before you travel to help you get the best out of the experience. All our itineraries are suggestions and will be customised for you during the booking process. Everyone is different so every tour will be tailored to you so you get the most out of your holiday.

Thank you for an enjoyable two weeks exploring the many different landscapes of your beautiful country. From ancient ruins to tea plantations, green kingfishers to elephants, philosophy to fables, our guide was a font of knowledge of all things Sri Lankan. His in-depth knowledge and experience allowed him to be able to answer every question we threw and left us with much more than just an amazing series of photos. Our tour was flexible each day and provided us the must see sights and skipped the sights that just catch the tourists. Anecdotes about experiences in the past entertained us during the drives as did our guides good humour. Thanks for keeping us safe on the roads, when we were climbing the various landscapes, and for keeping the serpents at bay. We had a great two weeks with you.

I had no idea my second trip to Sri Lanka within a year would be so fantastically interesting and entertaining - but it was. Carl Halpin was efficient and delightful to deal with to finalise our itinerary and to book. Flying direct Melbourne to Negombo airport, we were met by our guide and everything went extremely smoothly from the first minute. Such an interesting country - we saw and learned about cultural events, traditional dancing, ancient history in the cities of Anuradhapura and Polonnuwara, contemporary buddhist culture and celebrations, the fantastic Dambulla Caves. Then viewing the elephants in safari parks, the wonders of the highlands and tea country. Kandy's spectacular botanical garden, hiking the unique Horton Plains, climbing Sigirya rock, relaxing on the beaches around Galle, and much more. And all done experiencing the comfort of an air conditioned small van, staying in idyllic accommodation, and eating the most delicious foods. Thank you Your Trip. We'd definitely travel with you again.

After contacting several "on line" Sri Lanka travel agents we went with Carl from Your Trip because we received the best and most timely responses to our initial queries. My wife and I laughed when we found out that our "on line" agent lived just around the corner from us in Melbourne. Once we decided on Carl as our agent we found the process of working out our itinerary, which was based on an initial draft from Carl, to be seamless. Carl made it very clear that this was our trip and he was there to work with us to plan the trip that we wanted, rather than having to keep to a set itinerary. We were very selective in what we wanted to do and where we wanted to stay and Carl was very patient and flexible in this process. Carl even visited us at our place to go over the final draft in detail. We loved our Sri Lanka holiday, from the moment our driver picked us up from the airport (at 2am in the morning) until we arrived back in Melbourne. Having a dedicated driver for the entire trip was definitely worthwhile, as having someone with local knowledge, good humor, and knowing when to make small changes along the way, really helped make our trip as good as it was. Interesting in that other travelers we met along the way, and you do keep bumping into the same people at different places, did not seem to have as good an experience with their driver, so driver selection can make a big difference. We are frequent travelers and this is the first time we have used an agent to arrange the entirety of our holiday. I think touring Sri Lanka lends itself to such an arrangement, but also having someone like Carl working with us in setting out an itinerary and planning the detail of the holiday was definitely worth while. We would definitely recommend Carl and Your Trip to anyone planning a holiday to this lovely country. Ross & Virginia
